2018 Camaro Hill Assist?
Hey everyone! First time camaro owner. Was just curious if the 2018's have the hill assist option, and if so... how do you access it?
Thanks!

I would assume you do and you don't access it, it access you when you are on a hill. no way of manually bringing it up that I know of.

Interesting. I'll have to try it on a hill without anyone behind me. Multiple times today on a hill start the car wants to immediately roll backwards when coming off the brake.

You do have it and it's supposed to kick in when on a hill.

There's a pitch sensor I think. Came in handy on a few really steep inclines.

I did not access it but find that it automatically engages when I am on a up hill stop.

It seems to me that it only engages when the clutch is pressed in on a hill and you release the brake. I haven't been able to find it in the settings either. I actually don't really like it, I always seem to over rev, I'm used to feeling it with the clutch.

I have a 2016 M6 SS and noticed that mine has it ....... makes things a little too easy.
The older generation (myself included) had to learn the hard way on hills. What's real fun is when you would be on a steep hill for the first time and cars behind you ........ its truly a "crap your pants" kind of moment |

It won't activate if your in gear , has to be in neutral then shift into gear to hold when you release the brake.

All it is is a 1 sec delay before the cars drifts back giving plenty of time to get your foot off the brake onto the gas. Very useful on steep hills.

Your statement makes no sense. Hill assist only works if you're in gear. Every time you come to a stop you're gonna have to go into neutral at some point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This retardation has been forced upon us by GM since 2013. It comes on when you're stopped on an incline and releases approx 2 seconds after you get off the brake. The only way for it not to activate is to replace the tri-axis yaw sensor with a 2 axis one from the auto.
