Rev Match Feature

I hope I don't get flamed too badly for this question: Is there a way to disable the rev-match feature? I keep hitting it accidently and don't use it anyway. Thanks!

There is not, but I haven't ever hit it on accident in 2 years, so maybe it will just take some getting used to

No. There was at least one person who actually removed the paddles though.

I don't understand why people object to using rev match.

These cars are not like the carburated Camaros. Bliping the throttle on down shift is delayed. Without the rev-match you have to anticipate a bit.

It seems those that dis the rev match have automatics, other makes or drive carburated cars.
I use the rev match, and its a must for the drive by wire system. (IMHO)

I would agree about the paddles. I don't like them, and would prefer a button on the dash.
I have not had problems bumping them by mistake, but I would like the button on the dash better.

If there was a way to move that circuit to a button on the dash, I would be all ears to know about that.

Can we do a throttle cable conversion?
Gets rid of accidentally hitting auto rev-match and we get a responsive throttle with no ugly rev-hang! WIN WIN.

Only reason I object to using it, is I'm straight piped on LT Headers, so if I put it in gear next to a cop accidentally, im S.O.L. lol

I did this the other day and he pulled me over for not using a blinker to change lanes just because I was loud and drew attention. He let me go though... lol

It's funny how people are so different. I love the rev match feature and never drive with it off. I never accidentally hit the paddles either.

I have a 1LE and I think it is one of the more distinguishing features that complete the package that the car has. I know that rev matching is available on standard Camaro's but nonetheless, I think it's a feature that begins to signify the departure of the Camaro from pony car to legitimate sports car.
