Trying again to get my dealer to address this issue. Printed out the TSB to give them and I'm taking the service manager out for a test drive when I get there. Hope they fix it this time.

these symptoms just popped up on mine this week. started at a little over 10k on it. Got noticeably worse this morning (31 degrees also). They started off barely noticeable, but in the back of my mind, I thought it was this issue. This morning, there is no question as to what it is. All of this happened over the course of about 4 days.

also, while in cruise control, almost any sort of increase in throttle (going uphill for example), you can hear and feel the throttle pulsing, maybe 100 rpm, every few seconds or so.

I dropped the car off on Tuesday at lunch to get the shudder resolved. They gave it back to me today after doing the flush, claiming it was fixed. It is not.

I'm waiting for the service guy to call me back, so we can setup another loaner and they can actually fix it this time.

I think you're supposed to wait 200 miles to see if it's fixed then if it's not they replace the TC.

Yeah, I knew about the 200 miles thing. But, if it was acting up before I got even a mile down the road and got worse as I drove the rest of the way home, I highly doubt more miles (I'll drive over 200 miles this weekend) will magically make it better. :(

I don't think I've seen any posts on here where people got them back, they had the shudder, and "it went away" on its own.

Got mine back on Wednesday. I've done probably 100 miles so far and it seems to be fixed. Hope it stays that way.

Had all of the same symptoms on this thread except for noise. Shudder was getting so bad that it would stay if I kept a light throttle on a slight incline in V4 mode. Little throttle tip in and back to V8 and it goes away, for the most part.

17,XXX miles. 50% easy/50% hard driving. Lot of paddle shifting.
At about 19,XXX miles and still running well, no shudder. Looks like in my case, the flush worked.

Just started reading this thread. How do the Chevy engineers have the guts to put out a transmission with so many recurring issues?

My guess? Multiple parts suppliers providing the torque converters, each one falling on varying spectrum of the "accepted tolerances" is the first part of why it's not "fixed" yet. The second part is probably some other group claiming they can't turn up the TC engagement to 100% in the tune for the transmission (which, as far as I have gathered eliminates the 'shudder') for one reason or another. Maybe it's bean counters claiming the TC's will wear out before the powertrain warranty expires at 100k miles. Maybe it's some marketing / 'customer experience' group saying that will change the 'driving experience.' I don't know.

Personally, if they can't resolve it (and have it stay resolved), the 'driving experience' has me not wanting to keep the car.

I will say this... It's not like the engineers are sitting around, going "woah! look at all those posts, complaining about that transmission we designed! LMAO at those people! suckers!" Those people WANT it fixed. But, I bet someone, somewhere has tied their hands (probably for budgetary reasons) as to what can be done to fix it.

got my car back yesterday. Dealer was easy to work with, has done this to several cars in the past (even one the previous week, so they say).

typical triple flush, drive 200 miles, etc.

They said if this doesn't fix it, I bring it back and their tech has to drive it while logging the slip tables, which would warrant a new torque converter or transmission, if they show as being off (no new info to us, I know).

so far, after having driven it about 50 miles, the vibration is almost all gone. It was bad on the way home, but it's settled down quite a bit from where it was.

This won't be applicable to most people, but I zeroed out the slip in all my gears and the shudder is gone.

I can see how that would work, but that would also require voiding the warranty. I'm a touch leery to do that at the moment.

LOL, yea that's why I said it won't apply to most folks. Plus on the 2017's you have to send the TCM out to HP to have it unlocked before you can do anything to the trans.
