I thought the same thing, but the service manager told me that a second flush was part of the procedure. And hey, it worked, so I'm not complaining.

The shudder got much worse lately, 11k miles, and dealer is doing the triple flush today. Crossing fingers this works.

Mine has had the shudder for 6+ months, but I had it in storage for the last 3 months while I was moving (and it drove me insane with the shuddering and I hated driving it).
Brought my SS back home a last week then turned it in at the dealer last Saturday for the shudder. I gave the service manager the bulletin about the triple flush. They called Wednesday and said the car was ready to be picked up. I picked up the SS yesterday and saw on my paperwork that they replaced the torque converter, front seal, input shaft, o-ring seal, and a filter kit (along with doing my 2nd free oil change ) I couldn't be more happy with the way I was treated and the condition of my car after getting it back. The SS feels soooo much better driving now, no shudder at all, and my gas mileage has gone back to what it was before it started shuddering. Happy with my SS once again.

To fix it it’s the triple flush. It’s not even just a flush, they have to put a new filter in, flush it then put it through I believe the technician told me 2-3 different tests. If that doesn’t work they have to replace the torque converter!

I have 25,000 miles on mine and haven't gotten the shudder issue. Has anyone had the shudder appear with this many miles on the car or do think I dodged this bullet and will be fine?

Mine appeared with over 12K miles on the ODO. It was difficult to get the TC to shudder at first. Had to be in V4 mode with very light consistent throttle. It never shuddered while in V8 mode. The dealer flushed the transmission and it was like night and day. Not just the shudder issue but the overall smoothness of the transmission and shifting. Been good for 1K miles now. Fingers crossed

Can't remember if I provided an update, but torque converter was replaced and I "think" new software applied as the car drives way different, in a good way.
Also, GM extended my factory warranty for 4 years due to all the issues I've had with the car. Gotta give them credit for that. |

More warranty is better than it running out sooner is all I was getting at.

Had I been aware of the A8's issues, I probably would've looked more for a stick OR waited until the 19's and at least consider an A10.
