Well I guess I'm in the club, 10,000 miles and just started when in V4 mode.

Did same trip today and it only happened once for a few seconds. Does this get progressively worse? I can’t imagine having the dealer diagnose.

So far, so good with mine after the flush. I have 18K on the car now so I hope that if it does happen again it's before the drive train warranty runs out.

Mine's been at the dealer since Monday for a laundry list of things including this trans issue. We'll see what they come back with.

So dealer wants me to come get the car and says they can not re-produce the trans shudder nor the rear diff groan when cold. Un-real. I've notified them I won't be picking the car up until the issues are addressed, we'll see how it goes.

Dealership got the trans flutter to happen once, and had it plugged into the computer - performed the flush, and I've been good since for about 1000 miles. Rear end flush performed twice, but still have the groan in colder weather and when it sits for a couple of days. Dealership says it's normal, and qualifies it as "it's basically a racing setup with tight tolerances". Bill

I didn't show up to get the car yesterday, so SM texted me this morning demanding I pick up the car or they'd begin charging me a rental fee for the loaner LOL. I opened a case with GM.
Not sure if this is standard GM practice, or if I just have a bad dealership. It's the one I felt would be the best in the area, but it's the same goof balls who put 8 quarts of oil instead of 10 at my last oil change. Maybe time to find another dealer. I'll pick up the car tonight and see about GM reimbursing me for the time I'm having to take off of work to take the car back and forth for every concern. These guys seem to never be able to "reproduce" the problems. They said the same thing with my computer system went out in the car last summer. I had to video the car acting like Christine to get it addressed. |

Just got off the phone with local dealer. Luckily he said he would do the triple flush on Thursday which is cool, I'm assuming I don't have to reproduce the shudder as I don't think it's bad enough yet for me to shudder on command. I want to take care of it as early as possible so hopefully the flush fixes it. He said he knew what I was talking about and is very common on Colorados? IDK first I have heard that.

HA, well Friday I went by the original dealer Murfreesboro Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC in TN. Their "master" tech and shop foreman wanted me to take him for a ride in the car. He was the one who supposedly drove it and said they couldn't reproduce any of the problems the car exibits from trans to rear end groan.
I drive, get him in the car, and pull out of the parking space. I immediately make a left turn and the rear end goes to a loud groan and the traction control light flashes because the inside tire is sticking. I looked at him and said, "Did you hear that?" and he says "yeah and that isn't good". WTH! I wouldn't let these clowns work on my lawn mower. Now we get on the highway car up to temp, and at steady throttle the car starts to studder. He's fighting with his laptop and telling me how smart he is and how he's one of 8 "master techs" in the state of TN blah blah. Tells me it's the V4 to V8 transition and that I'm "sensitive" to the transition and he's happy to open a case with GM for me. I'm like over it at this point. I took it to another dealer on Sat. Asked if their shop foreman would go for a ride and within 5 mins he tells me to leave it with them he thinks it's the torque converter. So now it's at dealer number 2. |

Well, I got mine back with the good old "Can't re-create the customer's issue" after they kept it for 4 days and I had to drive a crappy Cruze loaner car.
Even worse, the service advisor told me they did a "software update" but the paperwork has no record of that. I don't have time to go demonstrate the issue for them, so I guess I'm just gonna have to live with it for now. |
