Add me to the list, a long with the rear diff groan when cold, and now my door sill plate letters are peeling off. Really starting to question the quality of this car.

Guess I'll go through the procedure of a flush and TC replacement next. More time off work for repairs with this car.

Update on mine:

Flush cleared the issue for about 2-300 miles, then started coming back. This time I even notice surging at light throttle (not just the shudder). Took it back to the dealer this morning and the plan is to replace the TC. Got lucky they had a TC in stock so hopefully will have it back for the weekend.

On the plus side they gave me a '17 LT M6 as a loaner. Definitely like the shifter, not so much the clutch.

Where did you take yours? Mine is scheduled for Hendricks Chevy in Cary next week....tranny shudder in V4 and V8, groan when turning while cold and (I think) front rotors when I hit the brakes on the highway....Started at 8k miles, have about 10k miles now.

Sale Auto Mall in Kinston. That's the dealer I ordered my car with.

Congrats on actually getting approved for TC replacement. I already got trouble again after 400 miles coming out of my 3rd visit for this. And now when the temps is only 60*F outside the rear diff is sticking again on right turns.

I went to get on the highway yesterday and making the right while applying gas through the turn caused the rear diff to lock, 2nd gear spiked the rpm's before grabbing and then traction control freaked out started pulsating the brakes and flashing the TC warning. It felt like I got hit in the back and side with the way the car tossed around.

I bought the fluid and changed it myself. Was actually quite easy. Then I just did some figure 8s in a parking lot to get it mixed in and haven't had any issues since

Update, hopefully the last one.

Got the car back today from having the TC swapped. Drives completely different than it did after the flush. Without a doubt the problem is gone, question is of course will it come back due to the TCM tuning or is this latest TC strong enough.

I forgot to get the P/N on this TC. Paperwork copy is being mailed to me next week so will update then.

Awesome! I just got the flush done and it feels good. I think I may go aftermarket if it comes back

When picking the kids of from school on Friday I think I have a new test figured out. Going to use it when I go back to the dealer again. This should show GM there is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.

Separately, the last 3 mornings have been 60* outside and the rear diff has been stuck and barking. Sat & today I just stuck it back in the garage and we took the Equinox because it is seriously unnerving to jar the whole family with these driveability issues.

Went to the auto show today, they wanted you to test drive anything else before trying the Camaro. They asked what I wanted to drive to get to the Camaro and I said I didn't need to, already have one. They thought that was a good chance to get me to speak good of the car to others around, I said I couldn't do that because my SS has been in the shop multiple times for the same driveline issues -- but then told the people in the Camaro line they should be fine because they were only showing off a 4-cyl Redline. I was then asked to leave the Chevy test drive area for speaking ill about the Camaro. I thought I was being polite about the whole thing, but damn were they touchy about it.

Never got to compare the new LTZ Silverado to the F-150 and Ram 1500 Laramie. Want a truck in the driveway again, but I don't think I can instantly go Chevy for everything anymore.

I finally gave in and took my 2SS to the dealer today. They confirmed the standard shudder problem. The mechanic wanted to replace the TC and fluid at the same time but said they have to try new fluid first and then replace the TC if the problem returns. He said GM just released a newer "B" version of the fluid a month or so ago. They only have the previous "A" version so they have to order the newest fluid. With the holiday it will be next week before they can swap the fluid. We'll see how it goes...

If you get a chance, can you post the part # of the fluid.....when changed?

I just got mine done last week and my dealership used 24 of part # 19353429 and one of #24274402. It says they followed doc# 4526930. I did find that version of the doc but I also found an updated version that uses fluid #19355656 so sounds like I got the non-updated fluid. Bummer. (The part number stays the same in Canada(19353430) in both docs though so maybe it was just a rebranding from Mobile 1 to GM.)

You might be right. I found one web site that listed the part number and description as:

19355656 - FLUID,A/TRANS-DEXRON HP ATF OPTION B, 32OZ

With the holiday the car won't be done until next week. I will post the service details as soon as I can.

Dropped it off yesterday....just talked with the service adviser.

Doing the triple flush first....will ask if it's an updated version fluid which just came out.

Rear diff oil change

Front discs turned

Right rear tire replacement - nail, slow leak. (have the tire/wheel warranty)

Scheduled 10k oil change.

Should be ready by Friday....got a fully loaded 2018 Equinox to drive in the mean time.

Will post feedback.........

(Will try and talk my wife into a 2017 Corvette.....manual...lol)
