ONSTAR Hot Spot

Anyone using the ONSTAR hot spot in their Camaro? Any benefit in using it?

I use mine. $20 for unlimited data. I cut my kids cell phone data plan back and make my kids use the hotspot, saves a few bucks a month. If you already have unlimited data there may be no benefit. It uses AT&T to give you an idea of coverage area.

I have it. It's mostly useful for long trips and if someone is in the passenger seat reading a kindle/ipad. Internet seems fairly good.

I enable it for the months that my car is on the road. I do the $10/month thing. I think it is good for 1 GB. Anyone using a tablet or phone for web stuff doesn't hit their data. Will probably put it on the road again in April. Haven't decided if I will do the hot spot again this year.

I do it.. mostly for trips into the US.. I don't have a phone plan that works in the States so that's my way to use the web for travel info etc.
