Personally I don't want any of this stuff, even air bags, except for the side ones.

If GM is going for the absolute top safety ratings, those safety features have to be available.

According to IIHS:
Quote:
To qualify for 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK+, a vehicle must meet the TOP SAFETY PICK criteria, plus earn an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention.

Not true. Parking sensors serve that function. There's actually two types of collision systems:
Forward collision alert and Forward collision mitigation. Different manufacturers have their own names.

Alert: gives some kind of sensory alert (visual, sound, vibration) to alert about a potential collision.

Mitigation: in the event of a potential collision actively applies the brakes to try to avoid the collision.

I like cruise control and Adaptive is awesome because people are always changing speeds ahead. After experiencing it on a BMW its a great option, However its something i probably won't pay for. (Save money for Magnetic ride_

i agree, except i don't even want the side ones!

honestly i held off from buying a 5th gen as it was just too big in my view compared to what i like and am use to with all the other camaros i own

if the 6th gen comes with too much of standard items i don't need or want (heated seats and other items like that as well as the computer doing the driving versus me) i am going to pass and just keep buying and modding 3rd gens that i like

i realize times change but also you don't have to ram everything down everyones throat by making these types of things standard... hopefully there will be some reasonable options that can serve a wide range of interests
