Ok I smacked my splitter on a parking curb. How much are these things?

Ya I found the part number 22894223 95.00 not too bad. I'm in for the curb alert though....

HAHA>.. i just bought one to have as a spare before they get scarce. They ship from Tennessee I think. Not sure exactly. But they are cheap. Just going to be hard to find soon I think.

GM Part # 22894223 List $131.17 You can get for under $100!!

Then you need 8 plastic bolts to hook it up... maybe not if you can reuse the old ones, but in case you need them

GM Part # 11570637 List $4.39 Can get for about $3 or less each

I came within an inch on the 1st day.

Now I back in, almost always, or I'm 3 ft away and 50 yards from any other car on the lot.

I have installed the curb-alert on my Z. It works on a part-time basis. When the voltage is above 13.2 volts (alternator charging) the unit turns on. When the voltage drops below this the unit turns off. Our alternators turn on and off as the car is driven. If the voltage has dropped (alternator off - battery voltage only) the curb-alert does not alert.

When the voltage drops you will hear a short beep indicating that the curb-alert is off. If your vehicle does not turn off the alternator it will always be working.

I would try a little DC-DC step up conveter. regulate that at say 14v.
