I would be using the ZL1 for daily driving so I really wanted a cam for that and for Automatic trans. I've heard about people putting OEM GM LS9s in there as well. Any feedback on how the ls9 is in a LSA? Or the hp gain?

I agree. I'd rather have a smoother cam since mine is driven daily but I do want at LEAST 600 RWHP.

JRE offers a Smooth Idle road race special, as well as a rough Idle version, that both consistently put down 650 RWHP with 11.5-12 PSI boost on 93 octane and 680+ with torco additive and torco tune.

If you need any help please contact me directly.

Ted.

The BTR Stage 2 is the way to go and it will meet your requirements.

Since you have an M6 go ahead and do the BTR stage III. It still has really good drivability. Consider the stage II if you had an automatic car. But since you have an M6 go for the III

Hmmm I wonder the RWHP difference between the BTR stage 2 and stage 3

Getting ready for some upgrades as well, probably will talk to Jannetty Racing as I have a buddy who has been seeing him quite a bit on his ZL1 from the Northern VA area. Everything I have heard and witnessed is impressive.

Just to throw some more information and options into the ring, we have 3 primary camshafts we use on the ZL1's and CTS-V's that are all about balanced power/performance.

Starting with our most mild offering our Stage 1c cam adds considerable pwoer and extends the RPM range compared to the stock camshaft, while having a very timid idle, and almost OEM drivability. It is designed to be used more as a stealth camshaft for people trying not to draw too much attention to themselves while still making a merked improvement in power.

Next up is our stage 2c, this is definitely a more noticeble idle than our stage 1c camshaft. It broadens the powerband even more, and gives the car a huge change in character. All while still driving great. It is used in many daily driver cars, whether autos, or manuals.

The notch above that is our 2c-HL, the HL stands for High Lift. This camshaft is very similar in character and drivability to our standard 2c, but it is designed to be used with our CNC ported heads, as the camshaft profile is focused towards heads that flow well past the .600 lift mark. This is the same camshaft that has been used in our record setting ZL1 builds, and has even been used in a 1000+ HP Camaro build recently, so it definitely has the credentials for amazing performance.

I got the LS9 cam installed while Ivan at SW Speed was installing the ADM LSA kit on my LS3. He had her opened up so I figured why not. If I had the $$$ at the time I would've upgraded the valve train and gone with a better cam though. Probably go BTR III later on.
