Driving without license plates seems popular in Ca these days. You can cross bridges and HOV lanes without tolls, run by red light and speed cameras and avoid paying registration fees. Sport bike riders often hide their plate inside the rear fender.
I've had mine for a year and a half now with no front plate and have had no issues. My neighbor is a cop and he said MOST cops won't pull you over for it. He also said they will give you a warning if you're pulled over for something else and they notice you have no front plate. Even with that in mind I keep expecting to get a warning any day.

I saw a really cool motorized hide a plate on a motorcycle once. I am sure they must have something like that for cars. it was wicked cool to see it work

So, tell him which your car is.

I'm in Ohio too. No need to be drilling that bumper!

how easy is easy? Can you just pull it off , or do you have to unscrew anything first.

Im looking for something that is super temporary. In IL there is a front plate law, but no one in the entire state cares about it except one city, berwyn, the worse city on the planet. Ive never had a front plate on any car i own and never had any problems, till i started going to this god forsaken city at least twice a week. Each time its 75 bucks for the ticket, no warnings here.

so anyway, i need something i can put on and take right off. I was thinking of making something my self with magnets or something, velcro, anything i just need to take it off and not have anything visible after.

so far to get around this and stop getting tickets, i went to the DMV and told them i lost one of my plates. Replacements are 6 bucks, and in the mean time they give you a temp plate to put on the back of the car, and with the temp plate on, its not required to have anything on the front. temp plate last i think 2-3 months.
I thought about just going back and getting another replacement plate for 6 bucks but im sure they will start to get suspicious after awhile.

any ideas?

I live in OH too, but thankfully in the Tri-State (OH KY IN) area (not far, <10 mi, from) KY and IN don't have front plates. Because of this, we hardly ever get looked at here if a front plate is missing.

I've been ticketed twice, at parking meters in the City of Cincinnati, in 29 years of driving. City of Cincinnati government sucks.

Right on. I have a few cop friends, and they all said that they would never do that to a car like the Camaro, or Vette.

I put the stock bracket upside-down and used zip ties.
Got the idea from someone else that did it on c5.

Works like a champ.

zip ties, until I find a permanent solution that I like. But if you can help it, don't allow them to drill into your baby !

In Los Angeles, meter maids now tag you

for no front plate. Great revenue generator. I have the one that uses the two bolt holes under the facia. Easy Install and lots of paint protection.

What is the status of the proposed bill in Illinois to require only one plate does anyone know?
