Spinning Tires in a Automatic

Hey everyone,

I know there are probably different ways to peel out in a A/T but the way I know it and I everyone I know does it is by holding the brake and slowing giving it gas until your tires slip out and floor it. But how bad does this affect your car? Like if you do it to much is your gonna have a blown tranny or something?

Turn the traction control off and floor it. Mine will lay a great patch without using the brake at all.

What about you want to hold a burnout? (like burnout and not move) what would you suggest?

Traction control "off," then do as above in your first post. Should work.

its pretty bad for ur wheels and brakes of course...you can buy something that locks the wheels and lets the back spin. thats the easiest way, its actually kinda cheating haha. my friend has it on his 2011 gt mustang and he loves it.

It would be some kind of proportioning valve that only applies pressure from the pedal to the front brakes. Not worth it, IMHO.

wouldn't that just be a line lock on the front brakes, as used in drag racing to burnout and then not roll though the staging beams when about to start?

No its not connected through the pedal. Its a button or switch you hold and floor the gas and when you release you move. While you hold the button it locks the front wheels its called a line lock or brake stand or hill lock

eh..i mean its kinda cheap, but its not worth it unless you go to the drag a lot. i forgot to mention that my friend races for money on the drag so he cares a lot. plus hes rich

Yeah I know it's not very important unless you race but if you did a lot to your car and you have left over money.... Why not?
