Its very hard to be certain but it does seem that the direction of the lines in the smudges changes direction, now I'lm not 100% sure its not from the microfiber towel making the new directions. But the light hits it and makes the same sheen in the same place. I wiped a towel on this and wiped onto another vehicle and it seems it may transfer onto the other car like a oil, still cant say 100% this in't the towel itself. This is a look at it with a flashlight. I drove the car one day with no rain and another it drizzled very lightly, not enough to bead up. It seems the car is collecting a good amount of dust a lot quicker as if its sticking to oil.
Now, for example: if you move the light directly horizontal either direction then the upside down v pattern remains constant until a change in shape of the body like where the fender folds. If theres no drizzle i will try and wash with dawn in the morning to rule out the oil possibility.
Thanks for the help though, i will get around to it. Time and weather is not perfect. Today was not too cloudy and you couldn't see it at all until the sun was setting.
