Every time I get in the car I naturally press the traction control button for 5 seconds. I want to drive my car.

How do you turn TC and Stabilitrac on and off in Tour and Sport?

My guess is that Tour is PTM 2 and Sport is PTM 3.

Ive never understand why when anyone is just going for a cruise that you'd turn off all the nannies. You're out just enjoying a drive and something jumps out in front of you or you hit sand/gravel in a corner and all the expensive technology installed to save your ass is turned off. How many videos do we see guys spin out, wipe out or hit something and the first comment is "I had my Nannies off".

At the track, Yes I get it. If you push too hard you end up on the grass or in the sand pit but on the streets I just don't get it.

I drive in Tour mode 90% of the time because this is my DD and the bone jarring gets tired really quickly and that is what I love so much about the ZL. Choices and easy adjustments. I'll kick it into sport on a good curvy road and at the AutoX it totally depends how much traction is available. Raining I'm in #1 but on a dry warm day with heat in the tires I've run in #5 witout so much a squeak from my tires. Same with HPDE days. But I just installed BFG Rivals today because the GY F1's just take too damn long to heat up so hopefully these are better.

I have a question. I have any auto. I have found the "tour" and "sport" modes. I have also found the traction control and stabilitrack on and off by using the traction control button. Is there PTM 1-5 on an auto or is this manual only?

It's Coupe only, verts don't get PTM. Not sure what you have. It's just a quick 2 presses on the TC button to get to the PTM modes.

Yes, autos have it. Only the convertibles lack the ptm.

I have been driving for over 25 years with out nannies. I don't need them now. Anti lock brakes are all I want. I actually wish I could permanently disable it.

No, I take that back, I love that it has it for my wife as it keeps the car in check when she floors it and I am riding with her.

On a side note, I am in Florida. I used to live in Iowa and understand it could be handy if on ice or snow.

I never heard anyone call the ZL1 bone jaring, no matter what mode its was in. If you think that's rough you must have never rode in any early fox boddies.

Only reason I turn off everything is when these cars are modded like my SS was and my ZL1...if you stomp on the gas in say second gear the traction control engages then turns off then turns back on. It gets friggin annoying. I guess if my cars were in stock trim it would be different.

So what would you guys use for drag racing? Or straight line burts?

Ptm 5 and tour setting to it transfers weight to the back?

At the track I turn off everything there also. Those PTMs were designed for a car in stock trim, I tried them all in 1/4 mile and all off worked the best for me.

So when you turn all nanies off. What does the suspention do? Are those two settings seperate? So you could have everything off sus: tour and sus: sport?

Great question.

So holding down the PTM button for 7 sec will disable TC & SC....then do you still pick Tour or Sport for your suspension?

How would you selection Track suspension if you are not in PTM#5?
