I would’ve loved to see the 4.3 in the last gen and happy to see the 1/2 ton motor here now

I need to see one in person before I decide. I like the majority of the changes but I don’t know if it’s enough to trade in my current truck.

2022 Production ends in December I believe. Not sure how long the changeover for retooling will take, but from what I understand they've already done a good bit of that work when they shut down operations at Wentzville a while back. Hopefully they can start producing the 2023 by Feb or March and we start seeing them by March - May timeframe.

I've been watching this and the Ford Raptor. Raptor definitely wins on power, +82hp and 10 speed transmission. Anti-turbo lag feature keeps the turbo spooled up for 3 seconds while you're off the throttle and then dip back in. ZR2 seems like a win in the more technical crawly sort of trails. The underbelly cameras is a pretty sweet idea for that arena.
Golden age of midsize trucks is upon us. |

I think that's just the lighting in the first pic. It's pretty true yellow in the other photos.

I haven't said this much on GM trucks recently but I think they knocked the styling out of the park. The Z71 is gorgeous to me. Interior looks really good too.
Only gripe I have is is it just me or does the shifter look like it's a bit far away from the drivers seat being on the far right of the center console |

Eh it's probably not a big issue. Although I would've liked to see the new column shifter GM has been using to free up even more console space.

You are probably right, just that interior shot makes it seem far away.

Any mention of fuel mileage? I’ve been sporting a Malibu for my work vehicle (get paid mileage). Always wanted a Colorado for a work vehicle but the fuel mileage was ridiculous - might as well get a Silverado. Hoping for 30mpg+ on the highway but doubt it.
