Velcro Tape

Hey guys. Been searching around online for a double sided tape that I can use to mount my hoodliner up to my new hood for shows. I was looking for a double sided tape with adhesive on one side and velcro on the other that I can stick on the hood itself that will stay permanently and also be put on my hoodliner so it will make it easier to mount the liner to the hood and then be taken off after. Velcro would seem to be best then other means for this, but can't seem to find any good places to find it. Anyone know of any sites that sells this? Thanks in advance.

Matt

It not online, but try a Fabric or Sewing store. Bet they can "hook you up!"

The engine bay would get to hot, and the adhesive wouldn't stick much after. I'm pretty sure they sell rolls of velcro at Home Depot, Lowes.

Lowes sells industrial Velcro in 2" widths in black or white.
Walmart sells the exact same thing. We use it for underhood mirrors, and the heat does not affect it.

Expect to pay $30.00 for 25 feet of it.

I would suggest 3M Dual-Lock (100% plastic, not hook-and-loop). It may be what dragonz28 is referring to.

The only issue is that you may tear up the back of liner by pulling it off (the Dual-Lock is likely much stronger than the pad itself).

Shouldn't need 25ft of it....lol, will have to find ways to get in trouble with the excess haha. Thanks.

I am worried about the same thing. I was told nothing really sticks to the liner that well, and that getting something sewn onto it would be best. Will just have to see what I can come up with when I get back. Thanks.

I've had good luck sticking things to it with just silicone.
