Nope I'd have waited had I known the 2017's were to follow so close behind. I still don't think the 2016 Should have even been. Car should of came out as the new GEN in 2017. Made a bigger splash for the 50th. I'd also never order a car again. Due to constraints at build time, I didn't get the car I ordered anyways.

And some of us knew the 17's were coming and planned ahead, and possibly why 16's sales are down. I have some tissue for you guys. I don't need it.

we have 2 6th gens and i say "no" both have problems, on the 2ss that list is a mile long on the 2.0t car its less, but still the same thing, this plant has no QC for paint and less for fit of panels, pant coming off for closing the trunk, all kinds of driving control problems, car dives the way it want, almost like it has a mind of its own, not a fun car to drive at under 80 mph, i did not buy a car for it to drive me.

I've had my 2016 2ss for a week now and I am not so sure at 200 miles . I got mine at over 20% off sticker which begged me to trade in my bulletproof 2010 2ss rs.
Picking up the car up at the dealership the microphone was dead so my initialization call with onstar did not go very smoothly. When I rolled the window down while trying to figure out why the mic wasn't working it was obvious that the window guide was broken by the screeching sound it made. So it took another week to actually take the car home.. major rattle on drive home. Turns out that one of the sunroof bolts was never torqued so the washer was beating the rail. There's another plastic on plastic rattle coming from the Mylink that I will bring up when I pick up my plates. Lugging the engine at under 50 in 6th creates the worst resonance in the left rear quarter panel area that never happened in the 2010. I am also getting blind spot false positives in the driver's mirror. My wife's Audi S4 never does that. Very distracting. The factory rubber floor mats don't fit correctly. I am very afraid that if the is thing rattles so much brand new, what will the future bring? Other than that it feels almost as strong as my dad's 2012 zl1 and the interior is a big upgrade. |

mine has been perfect so far; it's a late production, '16 2ss, i suppose. no quality issues; it has exceeded my high expectations. i just love it so very, very much -- and i don't care who knows it!
the only other car i loved THIS much when i got it was my 1992 Corvette, which introduced (coincidentally) the (second iteration of) the lt1 motor. I guess if it comes out with an lt1, it's for me! |

It's a good poll, but there is not enough time period for the feedbacks to mean much.

I've been fortunate thus far and have only had minor issues. I'm dealing with them for now in order for Chevrolet to get the fixes down. Most first year cars have issues. Hell, My wife is leasing a 2016 Honda CR-V and it's been in twice for a noise in the engine/suspension that freaks her out. It was finally fixed yesterday and was figured out to be a faulty trans mount. Her CR-V only has 2600 miles on it. Stuff happens. I'm also fortunate to have good dealers near me and I don't worry that I'll have problems when I do need to use the warranty.
I bought the car for performance and perform it has! I'll take a few fitment issues. I will Also be making wholesale changes though and maybe that's another reason that the issues don't scare me as much, as I am okay replacing known weaknesses with better parts. Overall, this has been the funnest 7500 mikes I've ever driven. So much so that I'm awake at 5:35 am on a Sunday to go for a drive before my kids are awake so that I can enjoy some loud music and loud exhaust/engine noises. I LOVE this car!!!

Best car I've owned but I wouldve waited a few more months and bought a fully loaded 2SS for dang near the price i got my 1RS for. Regardless, I love my 6th gen and still get tons of looks and compliments. My uncle called it "The most beautiful car i've ever seen".

Just put it up for the winter yesterday and already miss it. I have had the rear diff issue, dealer replaced once it was diagnosed. Other than that, no problems. The only thing I would do different would be the ZL1 if I could afford it.
