anything but wipe it down a couple of times with damp cloth.

No need to explain why you want a cover. Lol some folks on here are bored.

A new leather steering wheel only cost like $200 if it ever DID wear out. I think I payed like $220 for my suede ZL1 steering wheel.

You are going to cover up the steering wheel because you do not want marks/blemishes on it, what are you doing about your leather seats? Those will get marked/worn also?

What steering wheel cover are you using?

I go coverless. I know it's crazy but you only live once.

Another thing to consider would be using driving gloves. I know some might consider it outdated, but the leather on leather gives great grip and you won't transfer any dirt or oils onto your steering wheel that way.

Ok, here is my final thought on the steering wheel issue but first thanks for everyone who contributed, it sure was fun reading all your posts.
My Camaro is daily driver hence the initial desire to protect most commonly used part. Was initially worried about the seats as well but found out I could get complete leather from Katskin or so for about $500-$600 so I was like oh well. As for the wheel I did not think it could be easily replaced even though and would rather not (I found out it costs like 180 in one of the sites online) but I guess we will see how it goes. So in conclusion I am going cover-less for now.

I asked members on this board once if anyone wore gloves when driving. I got some no's some hell no's and some saying people that wear driving gloves are douches.

But when you ask about steering wheel covers you get no, never thought about it and sounds like a good idea. Gloves do the same thing and you can have them in any car that you drive and you only have to size them to your hand.

Unless you drive naked, you are using a seat cover.

I installed a steering wheel, shift knob and shift boot out of a 1LE. Love that suede feel
