Why do folks change the trans and dif fluid so early? I didn't even think you could change the trans fluid in the 6 speed. The dif fluid isn't scheduled until 45k miles according to the manual.
I get it, break in particles, and etc... but these aren't 1960s era muscle cars. I had a Moser M9 rear in my Pro Touring Chevelle and even they didn't recommend changing the dif fluid.
Just curious.
From what I have read the M6 fluid is clean when changed so not much of a concern early but the rear diff fluid is a different story so change it around 1500 when doing second oil change. There are a lot of post about the rear diff whine and the early fluid change seems to remedy that.
