Nice roads in VA?

Like the tittle says, I am looking for any nice back roads or mountain rides in VA. I just recently moved up here and was curious where I can go for a nice ride. Preferably close to the Norfolk area. Thank you in advance!

not close to Norfolk, but the Blue Ridge parkway is amazing.

At the VA Beach courthouse is a nice road that will take you to Sand Bridge. Also the Yorktown Parkway is absolutely amazing.

Again, not real close, but Interstate 81 between Roanoke and Bristol gives you amazing views of the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains. If in Roanoke city limits, driving up Mill Mountain Parkway to the Roanoke Star gives you a panoramic view of the Roanoke Valley from an altitude of nearly 1000 feet above ground level. Also some of the cheapest gasoline in the United States can be purchased within the Roanoke Valley.

It's not too near to Norfolk, but 218 along the Potomac between Dahlgren and Fredericksburg is a fun little road. Best experienced on the weekends though, from what i hear - lots of traffic going to and from the naval station during the week, apparently.

1st reaction: really? You're going there, here?

2nd reaction: Better chance of that not happening there than in your Detroit. Just saying.

Nothing nice around here, but as stated , hit up dragon tail, or hit up luray, va . I was out there the other week in the mountains and they have some nice roads, I was in my jeep but wish I had the camaro at the time. Skyline drive is where I was at, it was nice was hell. I went there to go to mountains but had no idea the road was so nice
