Upgraded from Gen5 to Gen6

So today I traded the 2011 2LT in and picked up a 2017 1SS. Loved my 2011 but 101,000 miles no issues at all and figured it was time to step up to a V8 since most of my driving is highway and when I did a test drove I was getting 30mph.

15k miles CPO the next will be a new gen7

Back in April of 2016 I traded in my 2010 Camaro 2LT/RS (which was a Pre-Order) for a 2016 Camaro 2SS.I am so Happy with the Upgrade from the 5th Gen to the 6th Gen and from a V6 2LT/RS to a V8 2SS.

2ss will be for the gen7. This was the most I could get. But hey fuel economy is the same as my v6 on the highway getting 29-31mpg

Nothing wrong with the 1SS. It's the performance bargain of the bunch IMO.

I miss the HUD but after years of leather I'm not a big fan of leather any more.

If I wanted all the bells and whistles I would get a Cadillac. But I just wanted some cheap power.

I was looking at another v6 but after seeing what people were getting for highway mpg in the lt1 I was like why not. Insurance is about $40 more a month so not to bad and I can always go with a higher deductable and make the insurance the same price it was for a v6.

But it's nice. Toss her into snow and ice mode go easy on the peddle and it sips fuel. Put it in sport and mash it and it puts a smile on your face. Best of both worlds. I would love 40mpg but with my v6 I only got 25mpg from Michigan to Georgia on the highway and I only used premium in that. So it's not like that's a change.

Upgraded 2011 to 2016

Sometimes you don't want something different just a little newer. Traded my 2011 for a 2016, Both are base models I added stripes wheels etc. The 2016 has so many advancements. The top is so much more refined. The interior is much better (but slightly smaller). The addition of android auto and back up camera (in case the top should some how be up), Extra 20 or so horsepower, better handling and lighter weight are all bonus's. Now if we could only get the old 6 speed auto back. The one that shifts properly...
