Which dealership should I get my car serviced at? (Los Angeles Area)

Hello,

I am approaching 1,500 miles on my SS 1LE and wanted to ask if anybody has any recommendations for a dealership to perform its’ break-in service. I am located in the San Fernando Valley but don’t mind driving for higher quality of work. This is my first Chevy so I don’t know how the dealership service experience is to begin with, but I’d like to go to a dealer that services more camaros/corvettes and would treat my car with more care and expertise.

Does anybody have any experience-backed recommendations for a dealership?

Thank you in advance.

I heard good things about Jessika Johnson who is a Camaro owner and a Service Advisor at Simi Valley Chevrolet. Probably not too far from where your are at.

I’ve messaged her in Facebook in the past and she has been very responsive.

Did you install lift pads yet? The 1500 mile service is just an oil and filter change. I did mine myself. The dealer is going to put the lowest level technician on oil changes. If they don't have a pit, get ready for damaged pinch welds.

Seriously, if you have an SS 1LE, you should be able to do at least basic maintenance on your vehicle (oil and diff fluid changes)... It is a VERY simple procedure and something that the dealers f***-up 50%+ of the time (wrong oil, wrong quantity, etc...)

Find a way to do this very basic maintenance yourself, your car will be MUCH better off...

I saw her name mentioned in another post actually, but it was from a few years back. How'd you get in touch with her on Facebook? Is she a part of a camaro group on there?

1500 mile service is a diff fluid change as well. I don't have lift pads yet, but I will purchase them soon. Thank you for the suggestion.

I am able to do basic maintenance myself. I wanted to have this service done at the dealer for documentation purposes in case I need any warranty work done in the future. It also doesn't hurt to know of reputable dealers in the area.

pretty crazy how chevy dealerships can be so incompetent with servicing their own vehicles, I don't think this is the case with the other automakers...

Bingo. Why I never use dealers for routine maintenance. Dealers are for warranty work and specialized repairs.

Rydell in Northridge has always been good. I trust them with my Gen 5 Z/28 for service, which has a 7.0 LS7 and been out of production for ten years.. not your typical LT1.

I ordered my car at Rydell but do my own maintenance. If I need warranty I might go back there. Following.
