Bought a 2011 Camaro 2SSRS 6 speed manual from IAA auction in Washington this week
Bought a 2011 Camaro 2SSRS 6 speed manual from IAA auction in Washington this week. Has 80K miles on it. I'm using it as a donor for my 1973 Camaro project.
Anyone know this car? I know it was bought new in Utah then sold in Washington in 2021. Here's my 1973 Camaro.

You can make some decent money back parting that car out with things like the CF hood, Heritage grille, bumpers, convertible parts, etc... This is the best way to do this. Lowers the overall cost of your swap. If I ever LS swap a thirdgen again, I will be buying a 4th gen as a donor car since 90% of the car bolts directly to the thirdgen. Good luck!

The 2011 arrived in much better condition than expected. Has a bent lower control arm & bent strut. Paid $166 for a pair on new struts & a lower control arm. Also bought a full set of Camaro 18" & pair of 20" for $100 & selling the 18" for $150 netting me some free 20". Should have the 2011 driving next week. As is I did drive it into the garage. Engine started right up and ran 90 minutes with no issues.
Only body damage is front bumper cover & passenger side ground effects are off but I have it. No dents or scratches on the paint. Convertible top looks like new.

The 2011 is donating its engine, transmission, all seats, center console, gas/brake/clutch peddles, heat/ac system, radiator, fuel system, brake booster, full wiring harness, steering column, gauge cluster and transmission tunnel since thT TR6060 is so big. The 73 will have working OBDII and think it's a 2011 Camaro.

I'm not going to fault you for using that car as a donor! It's gonna be a work of art when you are done!
You should do a build thread so we can follow along!

The 2011 arrived & in much better condition than I was expecting. Extra bonus is the carbon fiber hood. It started right up and was able to drive it off the trailer then in to the garage.

It don’t come easy.

Sure you want to part the ‘11 put for the project car? From the initial post, would have figured the ‘11 was salvaged. Doesn’t sound like it.

I'm curious to know what you can use off the 2011 for the 73?
