Exhaust - Pulling F51 WILL throw a CEL

You mean MAY - many including me have pulled it with NO CEL.

Did you check the code? If so, what's the number? It could be a coincidence that you got a CEL for something else when you pulled your fuse - any chance another fuse got bumped/loosened when doing this?

pulled mine, no issue. Put it back since it wasn't a big change: I force mine to track in the options menu.

What is this for? If it's for the exhaust flaps, can't you set them to be open all the time on your radio?

They are set to override with TRACK all the time. It did in-fact keep them open full time once the F51 was pulled. Did not write down the CEL.... P21Sx something.

They are still closed at part-throttle/cruise conditions even if the exhaust is in track mode. That in itself isn't terrible, but the way the computer manages the valves is as if it has an iq of 22 - they just open and close and makes the car sound like it has Tourette's. I'd rather just have the fuse pulled and the exhaust loud most of the time for a little consistency. It's still pretty quiet while cruising, but there are no binary opening/closing of the valves, so you get a much more consistent sound from the car.

No chance on bump. Car was off. Pulled with the removal tool. Fired the car up and flaps full open, but with CEL.

Pulled fuse on my ‘18 within first 300 miles...now at 5500 and it’s worked great! No CELs.

Pulled my fuse for a few hundred miles. Zero difference from track mode in all driving conditions....cruise, light accel, WOT—all sounded identical. No CEL. Put fuse back—again no change in track mode.
