Looks great! Wasn’t a fan of the stock ZL1 wing but I gotta admit it’s growing on me. Did the ACS mount in the OEM trunk lid holes?

Yep, no drilling required. For each of the three "legs" that the factory wing mounts on, there are three holes in the trunk lid (nine holes total). Two of them for each leg are used for the 10mm retaining bolts (two per leg). The factory wing also uses a plastic clip on the outer two legs (which is what each leg's third hole is used for on the factory wing), but there is no such clip in the middle leg for the factory wing (even though there is an unused hole there for whatever reason).

The ACS spoiler does not use the plastic clips, just two bolts for each of the places that the three factory legs were positioned (so six 10mm bolts in total). So the middle hole for each of the three legs needs to be sealed off--I just used some extra 3M double sided tape for this. Other than that, the ACS retaining bolts simply slide right into the factory holes. Fitment was spot on.

How would you rate the finish on this piece? Is it actually painted/cleared or just black shiny plastic? Or did you have it wrapped as well?

99.99% sure it's painted/cleared. I haven't put it under the lights yet, but a cursory inspection revealed no imperfections to my eye. It seems very well done. They offer a few finishes (including the gloss black that I got), or you can simply order it with primer and paint to your own liking. That latter option is considerably less expensive if you're inclined to paint it yourself. My gloss black one is not painted underneath, and you can see the paint lines on the edges (not visible when installed obviously).

Cool. Thanks for that info.

Your car looks really great with the black accenting you've done, by the way. Great contrast.

I’d suggest looking a bit closer. I just got my ACS spoiler about a week ago. The spoiler is pitted from either bubbles or a dirty mold and the paint is EXTREMELY thin. Unfortunately, I installed it and didn’t notice until it was already on.

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what I wanted to do to my factory spoiler. This looks like the perfect solution.

So, bmclaurin reports hearing a very slight whistling noise. Have you noticed it after your install? Also, it appears the best way to go is buy the primed spoiler and have it painted gloss black.

Thanks for that. Funny you mention, as I have FF04’s in liquid black on order. And I’ve been looking into caliper painting options as well. Also just installed the DD tinted LED side markers, and that makes a subtle but nice improvement to the blackout trim theme.
