Has anyone tried this AFM Disabler?
I'm familiar with the Range brand AFM disabler and have read mostly good reports about it but if I can save $50 and get the same results, that would be better.
And if you haven't tried this, have you tried another that worked? https://www.amazon.com/Active-Manage...NsaWNrPXRydWU= |

I haven't but you get a Range usually here in the classifieds for about $100 (used) which has been the go-to AFM disabler. I used mine for about 3 years before I got my tune.

I’ve been using the Range disabler a little over a year. I haven’t had helicopter mode a single time since and no negatives.

My Range threw codes quite a bit. It would disable at least some of the electronic power steering. Downright dangerous.

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback. I guess if I do pull the trigger on an AFM disabler, I'll give that one a try (Range). I like Benjamin Franklin's take on it, "The Bitterness of Poor Quality remains long after the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten."

FWIW, I've been using my Range since I got my car new (2014). Had one problem with it, but I think that was because I didn't wait for the LEDs to stop cycling before I went to start. Just have to remember to remove it if you won't be driving within 3 days or so.

Good call, now here's a tip: remove it when you won't be using your car for a few days so it doesn't drain your battery.

I have been using the Range device for over two years. My Camaro is not a daily driver so I bought an OBD extender cable with an On/Off switch inline. Mounted the Range device and OBD inline switch on drivers side of the console. I turn it off when not driving to keep from draining the battery.
