Best way to muffler delete when you already have a cat-back system?

So I got the Magnaflow comp cat back on my '14 1le this summer, I was really disappointing in the volume, so I got bored today and pulled the axle-back part off.....LOVED IT!!!! Not putting the mufflers back on so what is my best option to muffler delete? Are there delete pipes to match up to the 3" pipes or should i get a muffler shop to cut out the mufflers?

Cheapest route would be to have a muffler shop cut off the mufflers and weld in new pipe to replace. They will also have to cut the tips off the mufflers and weld them onto the new pipe. Will probably cost around $200.

^This. I had a local shop give me an estimate to do a muffler delete on my stock system, and it would have been around $100. Not bad at all.

You can get a set of SLP loudmouth pipes, in place of your mufflers . 3" pipe that goes to a 4"polished tailpipe,or you can put the twins back on.The system is all stainless steel and comes with oem type clamps.

IMHO ,you should decide if you will ever install long tube headers first B4 you dump the Magnaflow muffs .

I'm thinkin it might be easiest to just gut the mufflers, if they had center inlet and outlet it'd be fine but they're side in center out so i'd probably be gettin an slp loudmouth made by a muffler shop if i go that route, was really hoping to not dump another 4-500 into it

Magnaflow Axleback 15308! Will bolt right up to your existing magnaflow Catback in place of the axleback portion you removed. Alaso has 4 1/2" tips! No need in hacking & mismatching a nice Catback? Then if you get more aggressive mods later, you can switch the axleback portions… This axleback kit is a muffler delete kit!

One note of caution, those super cheap muffler shop $100.00 or less, axle back systems more than likely are NOT going to be 304 or 409 stainless tubing,& in no time at all, you will be looking at RUST!

Most of your average muffler shops do not have the machine to bend stainless steel tubing. You can buy the short bends & elbows from stainless works with the ends expanded for a SLIP FIT to fabricate your own system.

l had a Borla system left over from a 2003 ZO6 Corvette that I used sections from, & it the sounds fantastic with NO drone!

Attached are a few photo's of my system before I added the exhaust hangers & the 4 in tips.

All the best,

Orange 2010 Camaro

Electric cutouts would be a good option, you have loud when you want it and quiet when you need it.

I have the magnaflow flow muffler delete. There was a Camaro for sale at a local car dealer. It hade the cheap muffler delete. The pipes that replaced the mufflers rusted already. When you stood behind the car and at the exhaust ..it looked terrible.
