strange vibrations

Hope some one can help on this one:
My 2010 SS is lowered with BG setup I never have had any issues with my tires or rims just had them double checked at Barneys Tire in Temecula, CA ( great guys) anyway here's the strange thing, anytime I start off i have a rather pronounced vibration in the front . I can feel it all through the steering wheel, as I drive it seems to diminish but it's still there. Ive had the tires balanced checked and re checked. I'm the only person that drives the car so I know that the front has never hit anything to throw off the suspension. Only thing I can think of is perhaps a flatspot but the tires have been checked for roundness. Any thoughts?

Not to thread jack, but I have the same thing. I had no vibration what so ever even with a front wheel spacer. Got new tires and now I have a vibration up front. Took it in 3 times and balance was off all three times on the same tire (Road forced balanced twice). It seems pretty bad at first, but gets better as I drive, but I drove about 300 mi non stop and could tell it was still there.

Some one told me it might be a wheel bearings, but it was not doing that before new tires.

Check the tires for cupping. My Harley had a recall for vibration on the front wheel due to cupping of the Dunlop tire. I never noticed it until I stumbled on the TSB and checked the tread. Sure enough for whatever reason you could see the valleys in the tread. They replaced the tire and 6000 miles later it's fine.

When the cupping gets bad enough, in my experience the tires start to sound like a monster truck tire. I've had that happen to rear tires on a car where the struts were bad and allowed the wheel to bounce excessively causing irregular wear and vibration.

If you lift the front end do the wheels spin freely or do they rub as they spin?

Have you had the rotors off lately?

are they hubcentric wheels?
possibly the centering ring has slid away from the hub on the rotor.
here is a wheel with the ring in it.
the ring should be at the edge of the mounting face.

The reason I asked was to suggest that maybe they weren't hubcentric. That was mentioned above already though.

Also if you have centering rings, tighten the lugs with the wheels off the ground. IF I don't do it this way I get a vibe in my wheels. Have someone put their foot on the brakes, and then secure the wheels.

Hate to revive a semi old thread, but I'm going to try the tightening of the lugs with the wheels off the ground.

I put H&R spacers on mine about a month or so ago. 25mm in the front and 22mm in the rear. Had to trim the lugs down to get the wheels to seat but that was no problem. I've had a vibration in the steering and haven't been able to narrow it down. Wheels have been road force balanced twice; once before spacers and once after. They're on and I don't think they're the problem. Didn't have the vibration until the spacers were put on.

Lugs on the spacers and wheels have been checked for torque multiple times. Only thing I do that's mentioned here is the spacers get tightened with the hubs in the air; wheels get tightened with tires on the deck. I'll see if this helps......

**EDIT**

Update.....it was actually worse this morning than it's ever been. I'll take them off and look again tonight.

Took the car to the hobby shop here on base that has a road force balancer. Only re-balanced the front tires.

Passenger side was dead on but has a 22lb hard spot in it. Kid there mentioned something about 25-29 lbs being the max allowable for a passenger car tire.

Drivers side was 1/2 oz out. 12lb hard spot. Balanced it and put them back on.

Rides pretty damn smooth through 0-80 now.
