Not Sure about the Onstar and Emergency Buttons on rear view mirror

Is it just me or does anyone else look up into the rear view mirror (in the newer Camaro) and for a split second think there is a cop pulling up behind them?
Not sure about the bright Red and Blue lights on the mirror!

I wouldn't know, I disconnected that bulls**t three days after I picked mine up. I have a c.e.l on but I dont care. No one invading (possibly) on my privacy or having the ability to access my cars computer etc.

Just make sure the mirror is still functional so you can see those black helicopters sneaking up behind you.

Never actually thought about that. That's probably since I glance in the side view when I see an oncoming cop just to see if he turns around.

No, doesn't bother me. One, I don't have a guilty conscience. A traffic infraction is mostly a luxury tax when it comes to speeding or utilizing HOV lanes without the required number of occupants. Issues of moral conscience only apply to infractions of gross negligence, inattention, driving while intoxicated, etc.

Second, most states and municipal authorities have been using strobes on their cruisers for quite a long time. A solid red/blue light combination at the bottom of my rear view mirror doesn't give me the goonies. When I see strobing red/blue lights, my first reaction is that I need to move over/ get out of the way, and I'm usually aware if I'm in violation of the law already, or not.

Third- Google, your credit card company, ISP, your pharmacist, physician, and grocery store, facebook, and internet forums probably know more about you (and use that data more aggressively) than OnStar would ever even care about. Granted, if I decided to do something highly illegal involving the use of a car, I wouldn't pick a General Motors product with OnStar that was registered to me, nor would that car be stolen..

Mirrors not necessary for that, i usually keep the sunroof open for that or the shade open so i can keep an eye on them.
