Of course it is for their liability purposes. They know what they designed and they know that damage can be done, hence a liability, if it is "beaten to hell" as some of the he-man driver's suggest.

I love it when Joe Street Racer gets denied warranty repair. Touche'

What a shame.
Start saving up for the next one.
I remember kids who abused their toys and always had the broken ones while I was still enjoying.

This is the second thread of yours I've came into with assumptions on things that may or may not have taken placed.

Lots of old men in here will tell you to drive it easily. However even though my experience is mainly with building race engines for motorcycles, i'd say its about the same with a car. I did nothing but hard break ins on the bikes I was riding and they held up great. Even with my daily drivers, bikes that is.

I had a hard break in, and my car feels faster than it was brand new. I got it with 9 miles and now at 4200. It was dynoed on a humid 100 degree day and make 381 hp and 374 tq bone stock.

Liability as in they can't tell people to drive like asswipes. There's a difference between breaking it in hard and beating the thing too hell 24/7. you guys are right, the engineers DO know best. If they didn't want the engine to turn at so many RPMs they wouldn't have allowed them to do so. So no damage could ever be done to them and save GM all kinds of "liability" issues.. The engines do not need to be babied at any point in time. Drive normal. Drive hard. Don't hit the limiter every single gear every single time. That'll wreck any engine no matter how many miles on it.

So then wouldn't they just say, "Drive the car as you would normally"? Why do they state "break in period" if they don't mean it? I'm very confused with this logic.

Same here OP I am now at 2200 miles but I have been driving it like a Camaro should be driven, always warm it up regardless of what the weather is outside, give a few miles for everything to settle in and rip it to your heart's desire.

If I was to drive it like a grandma for any period of time I would have bought a Prius

I was told by the boys that built my car..."Do NOT baby your new ride, throw out that manual, and go ahead and give that Z some good driving for the first 1,000 or 1,500 miles."

I say go ahead and bang on it but within reason mind you.

I have broke in every vehicle hard right from the dealership, dyno, track, street... I have never had an engine failure. My tuner said the my current Camaro dynoed a little higher than the average LS3 with same mods and I drove it hard right from the dealership ( not that means anything) FWIW... My friend bought (2) 5.0's back in the late 80's early 90's and broke one in like he stole it and the other one he babied... The broke in hard one was faster. IMO i wouldn't worry about and keep driving it hard....

And what do you think the OP's original statement said?
"I basicly bought my 2015 Chevy Camaro and ever since i got it with 19 Miles I have been non stop raping the living shit out of it. Its now at 200 Miles.."

Sounds to me like it was not driven reasonably...
