Yep, awesome cars and very fortunate to have those cars in high school, But.....Have to admit, racergirl wins hands down! Sorry guys, you can't compete with that. My high school ride was a 1972 monte carlo that I bought for $250.00. It had no engine, trans or hood when I bought it. Me and a friend got parts from a junkyard and installed them in my driveway. Drove that car junior and senior year. Unless you are working and paying for those cars yourself, stop what your doing and go thank your parents.

the red SS badge means it has the RS package white badges means no rs package. 1 or 2ss has nothing to do with it. Its a poser because it is not a real SS even if it has a v8 in it. if he trades it in or crashes it its only worth what it was as a V6 to the insurance and less on a trade in because its not original.

I should have bought a ZL1

Who cares, it's still way cooler than most of us had in high school.

You have no idea how thankful I am. But when I came home from the dealership with my car, my mom wasn't too happy

My high school car was a 12 year old '71 Chevy Impala. That old 350 was still pretty potent and surprised quite a few kids with their new cars.

why swap an LS3 into a V6 Camaro? Wouldn't it have been way cheaper just to trade?

Not one bit. She doesn't approve of my drag racing either. But my dad is another story. He got me into it. And he told me that nothing makes him prouder than to see his daughter go down the track.

Except nothing in this post is true. He doesn't have any of that on the car yet. If he ever will. And he's had ss badges all over the car for a while. Kids rocking ss badges with v6 breaks and tiny v6 exhaust tips. And as has been pointed out already, white badges do NOT mean base model.

I can understand that, she is just worried, your dad knows it's safe if done right. Enjoy it, wish my daughter had an interest in it.

My Camaro looks a lot cooler with me in it, than standing in front of it.
