Question ZL1 eLSD Drag Racing Performance Calibration

This was on Chevrolets' website. Has anyone tried it? How much was it? Did your 60ft increase at the track after you had it installed?

Here is the link https://www.chevrolet.com/performanc...maro/drag-race

I think $350 but I believe no one has seen any improvements to justify this update.

I would like to try it, but neither GM nor any of several dealers I've contacted can tell me how to download the file. It's true that a few users here didn't see any positive results.

With your car not being stock. I highly doubt you'd benefit from it.

I had it done a few years ago. I hate the fact there isn't any way to know in the menu it was successfully installed. I have to assume the dealer just didn't take the money and do nothing for it.

This is something I've heard often with people who have done it and very valid. Not that most would, but have you noticed your slip % #s prior to the calibration vs after, in either a burn out or launch scenario?

After the calibration the coupling percentage should be at 100%, quicker and longer from my understanding.

I want to get this done but I will certainly be speaking to the nearest dealer who performs this calibration about that very concern.

There used to be a lengthy older post in this forum about the calibration. It had quite a bit of info in it. The car should have the feature installed from the factory and configurable in the settings. It costs GM nothing to include it.

It's strange to me that the last I saw, it was only offered in '18 or '19, but not after that (and it's more my hope that '20s came with it automatically... lol...). I'd pay for it if they offered it for my '20, and maybe it doesn't help too much, but it's still a little alarming to me the sway that I can get sometimes.

I've admitted before that I eventually discovered that it was more ME causing the sway. It's probably just me, but it seems like I have to exert a lot of effort into keeping the steering wheel nearly motionless at WOT. Like - I literally lock my wrists and elbows as much as I can, because otherwise, it seems like once I allow any oscillation, it just becomes worse and next thing I know the car is swaying A LOT. It must be me, but I can't help but think this might help, because even on stock tires, the car's spinning the tires a lot, so it's "fun" to control, lol...

I wonder if that diff' slip is something HPTuners can capture. I thought I'd looked before, but I'll have to try again.

Usually - when one of us posts the GM sales description of the calibration, it shows the years it's applicable. I've not yet seen anything after, at least 2019, for compatibility.

After thinking about my last post, there is a way to determine wheel slip, by side, and after remembering that, I recall actually scanning the differences. Not only did I log those for a little while, I can clearly see a difference in wear from one DR to the other. I THINK the driver's side wears out faster than the passenger's side. If I recall - I'm well into the wear indicators on the driver's side, whereas I'm still above the wear bars on the passenger's side, at the same parts of the tread.

Anyway - I wanted to add if you have HPTuners, you, too, can scan the differences, like I have.

I guess I've never paid attention or didn't see any years on the link.

Good info though. I do have HPTuners, just haven't used it on this car yet.
