It's a known feature, the car accepts 0 or 4 working sensors for traction control/stabilitrak override/management, but nothing inbetween.

that is weird...

i stopped by chevy dealer on the way home and they told me the receiver is in the rear deck lid. I do see something there, but havent done anything with it at this point.
