I traded my 2011 CTS-V Wagon and 11k for my 2015 Z/28. No regrets. Make the deal! If it is through a dealer, you would only pay tax on the difference, that's a big deal!

If you can't even handle the minor maintenance items on a well cared for 48K mile Camaro that's been babied, an old $2-3K junker beater will nickle and dime you to death in parts.

does everyone remember the 5th gen value tanked 10k as soon as you could order a 6th gen. When I bought mine in 2013 a new 5th gen 2SS was $36k and a used 10 2SS was $29k. Befor you could order a 6th gen my KBB trade in was 27k after the 1st ones were on the lots i was offered 18K with 10500 miles. 18k for this car lol i told them then you dont want it and walked out. the KBB trade in on it now is $23k. not going to happen. A 6th gen 2SS is $46k so these cars unfairly tanked in value.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

I would keep it and make the minor repairs...You could also do a few mods with the money you have on hand...Go without a payment for awhile build up your nest egg and buy a 2nd vehicle...Drive your car they love to be driven high mileage on these cars means nothing but a decrease in value...Mine is a DD, as a matter of fact I don't drive it enough...

I don't think it tanked because the 2010's still go for 20k and that's not bad for a 8 year old car. 2010 Camaro SS 's was around 32k brand new so only lost 12k over 8 years

The more miles you drive the less $/mile you spent.

Hard question. If you really like your current car and its not giving you trouble, then keep it. On the other hand, if you really like the dealer's car much better and you are tired of your current car, then if the money's right you certainly could trade it.

Just make a decision and carry it through.

Have you gone to CarMax for an estimate on what they might buy your SS for? You might get be offered a little more than what the dealer will do. CarMax generally is quite fair.

You've already entertained the thought of selling/trading... so that seed has already started to grow. Don't overthink it now, get into something new... even if it be another SS, just slightly newer. The opportunity to buy something like a ZL1 or even a Z/28 is very achievable. Houston is over populated by Camaros and Mustangs, so finding one shouldn't be an issue. I'd think about what you want out of the sports car first and go from there... hell, you might just wind up in a Hellcat Charger! I know I almost did!

Its technically not a limited edition. It is a track package for the Camaro SS.
