Solo performance help
Ok so I finally got some money to burn and I've been looking around for the best mean sound for my vert. So far I have 2 choices. High flow cats or solo performance w/j pipe axles. I'm planningon getting them from members so I can save some money. Any suggestions you guys?

Agree with BLACKCAMARO2SS - I have a '11 2SS/RS VR Vert and put a Solo Cat Back on it with a RotoFab CAI. Small sound when you're cruising...loud when you get on it..and best of all...no drone. None. Good stuff and a great sound. I struggled between the Solo and Borla...but the Borla (although I really like the sound)..didn't seem to solve the drone problem. Maybe putting on a Borla with added JPIpes would fix that...but the SOLO did it all for me! Good luck. Listen to a ton of videos here:

I started with the solo cat back (tuned out AFM), that was nice...needed a little more, so I just upgraded to LT headers and high flow cats. It is still quite with no drone in the car while doing 65-70 on the interstate, but when you get on it, it sounds mean and you know for sure there is 8 under the hood.

I've had the Solo axle back on the car for a couple of weeks and am very happy with the sound. Even with the top down it's not loud in the car at all and the AFM noise isn't too bad...if you don't mind the sound of a fat kid hitting a bad note playing the tuba.

you want just sound, or sound and performance? Get the high flow cats.

Have the solo cat back and really like it. Everyone mentions how quiet it is when you're taking it easy, and it is, when you're in the car. When outside the car, even taking it easy, it had a surprisingly louder, deeper rumble to it.
Late last year was following my car for the very first time with wifey driving it and got a chance to actually hear it from somewhere other than the driver's seat. I was very impressed and a bit surprised, the decel pop sounded great and even her easy accelerations from stop signs were way louder and deeper than what I perceive when driving it. Mellow on the inside, louder on the outside. Get the cat back, you won't be disappointed. |

I have the Solo Cat back on my 11 Vert. Did it when the car was 3 weeks old. I absolutely love it and will never change it. Doing longtubes and highflows now cant wait to see how that sounds.

Depending on your burn money, you tube the billy boat exhaust. Im running thier complete header to tips system which is a bit spendy, but the sound is awesome. no drone at driving speeds and when at idle they have an aggresive rumble.

No brainer
Solo exhaust with J pipes! Made the mistake of not going that way from the beginning. You will be sorry if you do otherwise....
