Thanks it was way more work than I anticipated..I started out by doing a patching of the existing concrete floor and application supposedly breathable epoxy, last year this time. Well, it wasn't breathable and I spent about a week grinding and cleaning the immense amount of dust generated (May of this year). I bought tiles in what thought was one color " Mitte Gray" from Lowes. When dry fitting the floor, I noticed two distinct shade variances and decided to make sure I had enough to alternate so they would make a pattern ( the boxes had different lot #'s). Back to the store... after dry fitting and moving the loose tiles to a pallet outside the garage and covering, I bought an exterior grade floor self leveler from HD. Bad news is I underestimated how wacked out the level really was and ended up using 32 bags at $30+ a pop.... and that only got me to the hump in the middle of the garage (starting at the back working front). I began to lose patience and
started laying tile. I bought mortar for large tile and used a 1/2 " trowel on the floor and back of tile, in criss cross-pattern opposite one another. As I got toward the front of the garage,I needed more of a setting bed to feather the tiles down toward the garage door. 1 bag was good for about 12-15 tiles at this point. Grouting a was a relief as I saw light at the end of a 2 month weekend and if I felt like doing something after work project. I bought vinyl trim moulding and painted around where I made a mess with grout. Added a stainless angle at entrance into garage and just washed a used commercial rug I aquired for free that I'll use for tire runners and under the engine bay. The rug has a vinyl backer made by 3m and won't stain the tiles. I'm into this project for over $2k and a ton of my own labor/time. I WOULD NOT DO IT AGAIN on a floor that was in such a bad state of unlevelness As well the walls were not square!! Knowing what I know now, I would have had a professional lay an inch of colored / polished concrete over the existing concrete.

It took time. I tried finding a shop to do it but didn't have any luck. The hard part was the drilling, making sure I was careful and used the right drill bit. I also had some issues with the adhesive tape. I'm probably going to add more because it wasn't sticking too well. I didn't get gloss because they were out but I think it looks fine unpainted actually. I think due to the car being gray.

Oh, man. Sorry to hear it turned into such an ordeal. Turned out beautiful, though. Really nice to see something different from the usual speckled coating.

Did you paint those engine covers or did you purchase them? I thought about sanding down the raised letters and painting them myself.

I sanded them down and painted thrm myself. Was a lot of work getting the letters flat. Did 36 grit to 80 to 180 to 220 them fill in primer. Wet sand at 600 and reprime till you like it then used the gm code for garnet red that is a pain to spray because it is 2 basecoats

Got the stickers on ebay

Installed npp borla atak axle back today. I have to admit, the hype is real, she sounds beastly with zero drone.
