[SOLVED] O2 B1S1 has no millivolts (mv) - hptuners
Hi everyone, I have a 2018 camaro ss. It has a gpi ss3 cam, johnson lifters, btr pushrods, ported heads, che trunnions, etc. The car was remote tuned by GPI and there was no issues prior to bringing it to the shop(except for the rear main seal).
I brought my car to a shop to have them replace a rear main seal and after their repair of the seal, the car doesnt run right. I took some logs and it shows no O2 millivolts (mv) from the B1S1 side. I replaced the B1S1 O2 sensor and attached is a log after the install and I still do not have O2 mv readings from that bank. Is there any recommendations on what I should do or look for? Does anyone know what signals are supposed to be on the O2 connector that I should be probing for? Maybe the shop pinched the harness when re-installing the transmission after the seal was fixed? Here is an image of the log for others without hptuners to see. I am so confused with what it might be Last edited by TheWildJarvi; 02-10-2024 at 09:21 PM. The shop screwed it up, I would bring it back to them.

Take it back like Geoff said, or unplug and check for continuity on the sensor. I doubt they messed up the wiring from connector back to the ECU, but maybe. I would guess bad sensor or mashed sensor wires.

I ended up buying a new o2 sensor which didn't fix it, but it did mean i had a spare.
So on the old o2 sensor, i t-tapped into it and ran those wires to a box with 4 banana jacks so i can connect a multi meter I then installed that t-tapped sensor into the good working bank read data out, then compared that to my faulty side. Passenger side: 12v only on when car started not accessory O2 output regardless Driver side: 12v no power even when started O2 output locked high I used some very sharp skinny wire cutters to cut the ziptie harness holding the wires in a loop making inspecting the harness very hard Doing this allowed enough length in the wire to connect the o2 sensor without a wiring harness extension i pushed the wires into the connector firmly and then lowered the car and then it read voltage out. I then connected HP tuners to see the data log and check for O2 voltage. Attached are misc images of my test box set up, just incase it helps others. |

If I'm reading this correctly, sensor was good. But connector was not completely seated.
So, all fixed now. |

Yes, although I am not sure if it was the kooks extension that was bad or if the connection at the harness was bad? And at this point im not sure if I want to find out lol, Im just happy I was able to fix the issue
