I saw a concept drawing of a Camaro that looked interesting.

The new lighter camaro should base itself off this super-light platform:

Maybe make it wider around the front and back wheel wells.

I hope they don't ruin the Camaro's looks, that will surely put the Camaro in the crapper for good. I'm just glad I have a 5th gen with the 6.2. Personally I doubt I will be buying another Camaro anyways, this is the one I have been wanting. Lighter, smaller, smaller V-8, yadda yadda yadda. None of that appeals to me

I wish I could see the text in that article, looks like there are a few interesting ideas in the art work.

Go with staggered rims like the vettes. 18s on front 19's on back to reduce some of the weight as well?

I like the idea of subtle changes to the fifth gens for a few years, but I'm still undecided on what a sixth gen should look like. All I know is, I don't want Chevy to do to the Camaro what they did to the Impala and Malibu. You look at the original Impalas and Malibus, and then look at the current models, and there is literally no resemblance. It's saddening to me. Granted, the newest models of Impalas and Malibus are very well-made vehicles, I just have a hard time swallowing the updated designs.

Now, bringing back a retro styled Chevelle with a big block engine would make my heart jump, but I know that with the impending emissions and fuel mileage requirements this is just wishful thinking...

While an updated 4th gen would be SUPER cool, it's too early for that. I think GM ought NOT to imitate each prior generation in order, but bring us something completely new and original, born from gen 5.

Oh and 4th gen =

Endure this
I agree, this car is timeless and will age well.

the side profile of a 4th gen is one of the more timeless designs out there.

id love to see the 6th gen as an evolution of the 4th. i think the worst looking parts of the 4th gen are the bumpers (lt1 is somewhat outdated and ls1 is somewhat boring), the rear bumper is definitely 90s, and the coke bottle profile is too subdued.

taking the general body style with a wider wheelbase/shorter overhangs, overall smaller, and some modern bumpers and youd have a great looking car.

basically keep the super raked windshield, hatch, coke bottle profile and slanted b pillar.

i suppose thats a c6 though.

The 4th gen wasn't that popular. I'm 100% certain GM isn't looking to go there.
As far as the side profile, the 3rd and 4th gens both evolved off of the 2nd gen profile.

Yeah, I don't see them going back to the design that lead to the Camaro's demise and the Mustang's 7 year dominance of the segment.
