Hate to say it, but I think the OP may be onto something. Judging from the sneak peek, it doesn't look like enough room for a trunk.

I cannot reveal my sources, but I heard that it will have only three wheels (weight- saving measure), a flip- down windshield (a la Jeep, for aerodynamic purposes), and will be powered by one o' them Ecoboost engines (whoever makes those, I hear, is selling 'em to GM).

Jus' sayin,' that's what I heard...

Two gererations of hatchbacks

We had 20 years of hatchbacks it could happen. We will know come 5/14. and from that profile that trunk lid is way smaller than a 5th gen.
