My 6th generation 2016 Camaro prediction
OK...I have been anal-lyzing and I predict that the base camaro v8 will be the 5.3 and the 6.2 will used specifically in the ZL1 after being reworked to produce about 600+hp in stock form. The 5.3 DFI will produce about 420hp in stock form. There will be an optional 3.6 twin turbo option producing 400hp.

Don't know about that TTV6 just yet.
Base engine will most likely be the 2.0T.

Mustang will move to the same formula. Both cars are getting lighter and more agile. No problem using a turbocharged four cylinder producing as much power as a V6 with better fuel economy. These aren't the four bangers of yesteryear.
If you want a sneak peak at the 6th gen, just read how well received this car has been... While the top engine in ATS is the LFX V6, the 2.0T is reportedly going to be the much sportier powertrain option.

My prediction is more of a finger-pointing....if you want to see how the next-gen Camaro might perform...take a look at the ATS. The future is bright! |

I might be wrong, but I remember there being a 4 cyl Camaro back in the 3rd generation. Any one else remember this?

That is why they said in the movie "Mad Max" "The last of the big V 8's." Which is why I bought the Camaro knowing that the future would be smaller engine's that are more efficient and more power for the size. That is why I will never sell my car because it is the last of the big V 8's. To me it's not the name Camaro, but the motor.

Next generation camaro
If theres one wish i would want from the next generation camaro is the power to weight ratio. They need to get the weight down on these vehicles.
