Oh no! A bike rack on a muscle car. The sacrilege! I'm sorry but I just don't see the issue.

Let's say one chooses to haul a bike around on a bike rack. We all know they eventually will damage the paint. It's still cheaper to use the Mustang (or Camaro) than to buy a beater to tote around the bike. Even if you have to spend $1000 bucks down the road for some touch ups it's still more financially responsible to use the "special" car.

I love my car and go out of my way to avoid parking it next to people or taking it through automatic car washes. In the end it'll still end up with a gazillion miles on it and probably end up in the hands of a ruthless teenager.

Enjoy it while you got it. That's my motto. And if that involves toting a bike around to get your riding fix, so be it. Who are we to judge?

I don't see an issue, everyone could make the joke that one of us does it so we have something to ride when we break down. However, when you look at the driver and then you look at yourself, who is more out of shape, you or the "loser" with a bike on his muscle car?

I know a dud who weighs about 350 who is always telling me he found a new carbon fiber part to take 7 pounds off his car so it is quicker. I'm like, "I know a way to shave 150 pounds off your car's weight..."

That is truly hilarious! Way to make my morning as I sit at this desk bored as can be staring at two screens.

I actually think that looks pretty cool. Yesterday I read in Car and Driver magazine where one of the writers had a Christmas Tree tied to the top of his zo6 vette. Dependable transportation, I like it.

I don't get the problem here. Or, is this just a "I hate Mustang's because they make me feel inadequate" post?

He has a proper rack, and a bike does not weigh much. The rack protects the car from damage. He likes to ride his bike - probably on his way to a bike path somewhere. I enjoy a nice ride on my bike some evenings, yet I have a fleet of muscle and sports cars as well.

Not only that, but these are just Mustang's/Camaro's... it's not like the rack is on a high end sports car or something. I see Camaro's and Mustang's at almost every intersection when I'm out driving.

Where is the issue? It's not like he's got a trailer hitch and is dragging a 40 foot sailboat behind his car.

I think the only racks that don't do damage to the vehicle, truck, car, you name it, are the hitch style. That is the only complaint I have with the picture. We are blessed to have an Avalanche to haul our bikes and other things around in, this guy may have no other option. Ride on brother, ride on.

PS: I do hate Fords though!
