Anyone using Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads ?
I'm looking to get a set of Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads HB453Z.585 for my SS. Any problems with noise or anything else with these pads ?
Thanks

No issues. I've been running them since about May.

I put them on my SS the first year I had it. I got tired of all the brake dust. They work fine and hardly any brake dust.

I put them on my first year, never looked back. I would definitely go with them again when these wear out.

As long as you don't track or autoX they are fine street pads. However, if ever pushed and they get any heat in them they fade dramatically.

I've run mine W/Granatelli Slotted & dimpled rotors plus Goodridge stainless brakes for 4 years. put 25,000 miles on them and also run Watkins Glen Road course track at least 8 times. Hit the 129 mph on the back stretch. They are great pads cut down on the dust greatly. The pads or the rotors have never warped .

Cuts down on dust and break squeal for sure but i had bad heat fade issues with mine so i swapped them out for the new 5.0 pads. So much more stopping power but squeals and makes dust like the stock ones.

Granted, my brother has autocross his Hawk ceramics and didn't really have any issues, but most of our clubs courses aren't too hard on brakes.

Road coursing with a ceramic is like playing Russian roulette with a semi-automatic pistol.

The hawk Ceramics are not this though, and neither are most of your cheaper ceramic pads being sold as reducing brake dust. If you want good brakes, brake dust should never even be a concern.
