Only one I could find for now was Coastal Cruisers on Nov 4th. Didn’t say where though.

Ok so I created a FB page named Gulf Coast Camaro’s to see if we could get enough local owners together to do meet ups/other car shows etc. I’m outta Slidell so join if it’s not too far away and you want to help get this thing off the ground! Thanks!

I’m not on Facebook that much anymore but I’ll be sure to check it out. Would be nice if we could get a Camaro meetup going.

New the the Camaro scene, picked up a ‘19 SS 1LE... I am just north of Thibodaux. Anyone know how to get started with tracking (never tracked before) at NOLA Motorsports? I am almost past my break in period.

Thanks a million. I will have to see what the 2019 schedule has to offer. My work schedule [14 on / 7 off] is hit and miss with most everything that interest me.

I assume I will have to join that nasa club? Any other clubs [track or any other type] for our area/state?

The Delta Region of the SCCA runs autocross at NOLA and the Zephyr stadium as well. not the big track, but fun as well.

The Porsche Club also has events on the road course at NOLA too.

Are you still in Lafayette? Cars and Coffee on 12/8/2018. I haven't seen the announcement, but will most likely be at Red's and be a Toys for Tots event (bring a new in the box toy, not wrapped).

A heads up. There is another track called Circuit Grand Bayou at No Problem Raceway.

It is a nice little track and can be very fun, but the track surface is not great and I chewed up a set of tires in one day out there. I have heard others complain about the same issue.

It is a really fun track, although it is more suited for smaller lighter cars like miata's or older Camaros.

They do open track days there as well once in a while and it's very cheap (if you don't factor in tire wear).

With your work schedule, you should take a look at open track days at NOLA MSP. They tend to fall on the Friday before NASA events so that may not help you out much, but they are not usually too crowded. Just plan on being in the beginner group of whatever you do. I had a friend sign up for the intermediate group because he thought his car was going to be faster than a lot of the other cars out there, and he was quickly moved to beginner.
