Scott Settlemire's retirement party at Becky D's Warehouse

As many of you know Scott Settlemire (AKA: fbodfather) has announced his retirement. This is a small piece of the email that many of us received this week.

Good Evening Camaro Comrades and Firebird Friends!

After 38 years with General Motors, I've elected to retire effective this week.

There was a retirement party in place for the past couple weeks, that took place this evening (10-17-2015) at Becky D's Warehouse.

CONGRATULATIONS...Scott.

Thank - you for everything you have done for GM, and the entire CAMARO history. May you enjoy your retirement as much as you have enjoyed your years working with the Camaro.

What a great party !!!! Congratulations Scott, enjoy your retirement and have lots and lots of fun. I hope you are able to take a Gen 6 Camaro with you to ride off into the sunset. I would like to thank everyone that helped put this together and gave Scott a great send off.

Wow, I hadn't heard that Scott was retiring. Congratulations. Looks like a great party for a great Camaro friend. Hopefully he will continue to come to some of the Camaro Fests and other get-togethers.

A sad day in GM history, but a well deserved send off to a fantastic man who not only represented the company well, but also it's customers.

Scott I wish you well in your retirement and you will be missed, NO ONE can ever fill your shoes.

I cannot begin to tell you what this party meant to me -- and how glad I was to see so many dear friends. Joe and Becky are simply the best. That they would work so hard to put together a surprise retirement party for me just simply leaves me speechless.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts...it's been my privilege to be the 'voice of the customer' for the Camaro TEam for many years -- and I treasure each of you.

This isn't goodbye -but rather a new chapter in my life.

Your Camaro Comrade -

scott

Thanks for your commitment to the brand for all these years--in particular the "dark" years of 03-09.
