2013 Camaro RS Muffler delete
I just have a few questions! Can I complete this by myself or should I take it to a muffler shop? What size pipe will I need to connect the exsisting pipe to the tips? Should I worry about tripping any sensors? Is the drone bad, or does it sound ricey? Thanks!!!

sorry but it that a v6 or v8? i did it on mine and after i picked up all the parts and time spent.. probably should have paid a shop to do the work for about the same price.
I went no-weeds and took my time.

Very high pitched, especially at higher rpms. I would say save a little and get an axelback. Oh, and an x pipe to deepen and tone down the rasp and drone.

Its been kown here for a long time that v6s and muffler delete gives a very high pitched sound. And I totally agree. Now that being said its entirely up to you. You may like it. I kow Youtube vids are hard to judge as far as exhaust is concerned but you can get an idea on the high pitched rasp of the v6 muffler delete.

I have a post MESSED UP on here. I have a 2010 RS and had the Magnaflow X pipe put in and the mufflers cut out. It sounds good at low rpm's but at 55 to 70 way to loud for me. At wot it's really loud but, I'm 54 and that might have something to do with it also. I'm trying to get my funds together to change it out.

If you have the V8, I just posted in the classified's this for sale. Pipes can be installed in less than an hour onto your original V8 exhaust.

Let's go Rangers!

OMG! RS is NOT a model, it's an appearance package's on both the V6 and V8. It drives me nuts when people say they have an "RS" (oh good, so you have an appearance package that has ZERO to do with exhaust tones). You either have an SS or a LT, LS, etc., that has an RS appearance package!

Everybody I know that has RS on the outside of their cars has a V6 My 2SS/RS had SS on the outside not RS even though it had the RS package. Pretty sure if it has RS in the grille and on the back it's a V6
The easiest way to tell if you have a V6 or a V8 is to look at your engine cover, one on the left is V6 engine cover, one on the right V8. Hope this helps Last edited by anth331; 06-01-2017 at 12:37 PM. Reason: I calmed down |

The higher pitched raspy sound of a muffler delete v-6 is IMO embarrassing enough to immediately be accepted into the Ricer crappy fart trumpet wanna be a ricer club with about 1000 Honda Boyz on Oregon's busiest road by me ....LOL The metallic rasp also is well saying trying to hard when it makes that sound and a real nasty kind of the vibrating ricer big tipped loose exhaust variety form what I have heard anyway comparing the exhausts.... My Camaro built with NPP would make the driver wet them selves most likely and want to follow me and record my exhaust to play loudly over their stereo...... You should think about aftermarket exhaust if you really want the sound you desire, the stock "
Trashcan exhaust on the v-8 even is crappy and ugly from behind the car showing it smashed trash can appearance also that just says YUCK....
