Definitely still interested in the car and excited to see the unveiling... but, as info and prototype photos have trickled out, I've gradually come to suspect that GM probably hasn't done much in regard to the main things that I didn't like about the 5th gen...overall length (too long) & visibility (poor). I'll wait to see, sit in and drive the actual car before making a definitive judgment, though..

I've been on Camaro boards for over 12 years, but I've never owned one, and I don't have any current plans to own one.

Originally, my wife and I were going to go with a 15 2SS 1LE, since the hype about the 6amaro we've decided to wait. I will be very dissapointed if a 1LE is not offered right away. This is the caliber that I am expecting. I understand that this is going to be on par with the 5th gen 1LE, or close to it. But still.

i have absolutely no desire to get 6th gen camaro, my next vehicle 99% needs to be a truck. But this place is great to gather information and engage in some debate every now and then to pass down time at the office.

I would pay close attention to how they describe the SS at the reveal....Some are already suggesting that the new SS will outperform the existing 5thGen 1LE....May have to read between the lines, but a 1LE may actually be the new SS...

I like to be informed as I have an 02 z28 that runs 12.5s in the quarter and it's quite fun to drive. I know the comfort and features don't compare to a fifth gen but it's not a daily driver but a summer toy nowadays. So I would definitely consider a 6th gen if the price and performance are in my range, plus I'd really like another z28.

Chevy fan at heart here. I have a 2015 Mustang GT PP, just reading about how it's going to be destroyed by the 2016 SS. IF (big IF) that's the case, and the interior is finally worthy of a 40k vehicle, I'll get a 2017 SS 1LE.

isn't what you described exactly what a 5th gen Z28 is?

My payments end in Sept and I will be saving up to buy in apr/may. Depending on how long the list is to get a build in. For me, there will have to have some performance pack off the line. Atleast a 1LE equivilent. This will be last "off the showroom floor" car I buy and I plan on driving it for a while so it has to be what I want in every aspect. INCLUDING PUSH FRICKIN' START!!!! hahahaha

I plan to wait until 2017 to see what they do for a 50th anniversary Camaro, assuming they will. Will be looking at a convertible SS or ZL1. Summit White of course.

Also, off topic, the forum spell checker always says Camaro is a misspelled word, how about someone add it to the dictionary? Just an annoyance is all.

Think that is your browser. I added to my dictionary for Chrome but don't see a spell checker in the forum reply box.

I'm not waiting until next year, I'm buying a 6th Gen as soon as they become available, and I can always add emblems later to make mine a 50th Anniversary car, lol .....
