It looks easy to install; however, a few questions, if you don't mind:
1. Does it appear be made of decent quality (won't "break" off at speed)?
2. How far does it stick out? Too far (in your opinion)?
3. Is it easy to remove?
4. Would you recommend it for others with a 6 Gen?

Thanks!

looks good quality and coated, interested to see how long of salt exposure it will be able to handle before it doesn't slide on and off easily.
2. How far does it stick out? Too far (in your opinion)?
from the front it looks fine, from the side it looks far
3. Is it easy to remove?
1 second to take on and off, installation is super easy too and only uses holes and holes that are already there
4. Would you recommend it for others with a 6 Gen?
I would be good either way, but if you ever want to take the plate off for any reason(shows, pictures, etc) this is the way to go. another thing is it has to come off each time you go through the car wash, but it is very simple, its just remembering.

if you ever track the car, you should definitely have one.
The stock plate covers the radiator, maybe it makes a difference or not, its so simple i would just go tthis route

Thanks!

Thoughts?

Hmm, didn't even think of this until now but because the car was ordered in Ontario they put the front mounting package on the order... is that something they do in the factory or is it dealer installed... hmmmm

I Texas we're required to have front plates, but the dealerships will deliver the car without the bracket.

My
Temp tags are finally up and put on my plates. I put the bracket on the front grill but couldn't make myself drill and pop rivet it on (yet). It clips on but is really loose and would fall off before the end of my driveway.

My old 911 I never had a front plate, worked for 7 years except for the once I got pulled over on the turnpike in IN for it. But I was speeding and the rear plate was loose because of tight parking downtown Chicago. Trooper said he saw no front plate and a loose rear and speeding so figured the car was stolen.

So we'll see....

Interesting on the Show N' Sto plate holder. I think it should be strong enough to go through a no touch car wash. Seems to be quite rugged if you ask me.

Reluctantly, I may allow the dealer to drill into the grill and install my plate.
I see other Camaros, Vettes, etc., with front plates mounted, and it doesn't look as bad as on some other cars (trying to convince myself, I guess....).
Not ideal, but I'm not 100% sure of the Phastek Sho and Go. It looks like it sticks out a little too far for my liking.

You won't have to drill into the grille, the holder actually just snaps in.
Read my post (post #13, on the first page) in this thread I indicated how the plate holder attaches and I posted a couple of pics. that might help.

Honestly, I'm leaning towards just having it installed and not worrying about the headache of potential a**hole cops....

It does kinda snap on but is very loose, it'd fall off before I left my neighborhood. The holder comes with 4 plate screws and 4 black pop rivets (2 are used, 2 spare).

Also, the holder is VERY vented. So during a track day if you remove the plate, I don't think it would prevent any airflow to the radiators.

If you don't ask them not to install it before it comes in it will get installed automatically. I just got my car without it installed.

Thanks.

I'm going to leave it as it gets installed by the dealer. One less headache....
