Then again, dropping down an inch on wheel size ought to buy back those 5 profile points. FWIW. Norm

Yep. I have a set of 19x10 (square setup) and a 285/35-19 is roughly same diameter as the 285/30-20. I just bought a used set (2K miles) of OEM ZL1 wheels with the Supercar 3's. The guy I bought them from put 22's on his ZL1..... talk about "low profile"! I don't think he has any sidewall-- just tread......

22's on a sporty/muscle car - ugh. I'd like to be his tire guy, though.
That's only half an inch less wheel diameter than what's on my son's daily-driver. It has a model name of sorts, but most people just call it a Kenworth. Norm

So I stepped down to a 30 series tire. I used a set of MPSC 2's in 295/30/20 & 305/30/20. The car still has no track alignment but the rubber definitely helped the low-speed understeer. Here is a video of the fast lap:https://youtu.be/e_Yg8SbX8P4 |
