Just be careful putting big mod dollars into the 1LE, I did that with my 2010, cam and all the supporting mods. Not only did I loose all of the mod costs, labor costs, I also got less for the vehicle than had I kept it stock, as it was hard to sell with no warranty. My advice keep the 1LE stock and drive the hell out of it. In 6-months trade the 1LE in on a used ZL1.

You owe 35k on a 40k car. It’s your first car. Try and pay it off, go without payments for a few years. Debt will keep you from saving large amounts of money. Learn now to dislike debt now, or trust me, you will later.

Haha.. there is ALWAYS a faster car in S. Florida. I live here too. I had a car much faster than yours, and got my ass handed to me as well. Just enjoy your car, maybe autocross it a bit?

Money isn't an issue but you couldn't be more correct. Debt is the enemy.

You have said several times money is not an issue so what's holding you back? If money were not an issue for me, I'd own two - one for daily driving and the other to keep fresh in a glass display.

Money can’t defy logic or efficiency. And no matter how much one has, financial mistakes will always be exactly what they are. So these two reasons are why I’ve wanted everyone’s input. People like me always have bias when making decisions, so it’s nice to see the input from others to get multiple truths to the same angle.

ZL1 needs nothing to be perfect. 650hp and a stellar warranty? No-brainer for me. Dump the SS and get the ZL1.

Yeah, I second his advice. I sold my 1LE private sale, and it took a few months but I got way more than trade in value. That was Summer/Spring though, so be patient with it.
If you owe $35K, you have no choice but to sell private. No way you can get that as trade as they are selling used for that and less. I am not sure I would pay $35K for a used 1LE myself, but its not a terrible price either. I think its fair, but would probably expect to pay closer to $33K personally. Either way, I think you will only be happy with a ZL1. If you dont get it, you will always wish you had or wonder 'what if'. Good luck man!
