HA!

In all seriousness though - I'm not quite sure I am concerned with digital vs Analog - i lean more towards analog, less things to break. BUT...one of the things I really don't like about 5th gen are the two pods, yes it harkens back to the past - but some things should stay in the past.

With the 6th getting driver modes and the 8 vehicle parameters that are adjustable, we will have to have some kind of main LCD display in the cluster. It would make the most since to borrow a similar kind of system from the C7 to save development costs. Otherwise they would have to specifically design something to accomplish all of this without LCD in the cluster. Let's not forget the ATS competes with the 3 series, which also doesn't have a large LCD in the middle of the cluster.

I hope the speedometer and tachometer are analog, digital just can't match the smoothness of real needles moving.

Agreed on the tach, but a digital speedo is much easier to read under any conditions. Course if you have the HUD too, you'll probably never look at the speedo in the cluster.

If it does, the display showing the tach better run at a high enough frame rate not to look choppy (60+ fps) vs just having an analog gauge. I think digital odometers have been standard for years now...

i'd love to see an all digital dashboard, just needs a high enough refresh rate to not be choppy. Its something i wish someone would do a DIY upgrade with the 5th gens on.

Well, looks like I was wrong. The SS (maybe as an option or base) will have a digital dash.
